What: A performance by the Kihckercast Project, an improv group from New York City. Paonia’s own improv queen, Thea Deley, will emcee the night and offer new songs about the people of her town.
When: 8 p.m. Saturday
Where: The Paradise Theatre, downtown Paonia (about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Glenwood Springs)
Cost: $10
Why? Because the Western Slope may have it all — rivers, mountains, blue skies and snow — but when it comes to improv, it’s sorely lacking. It’s a pity, too, because there’s just no rush like watching fast-paced, super sharp improvised comedy. Kihckercast promises a night of on-the-spot scenes, created before the audience’s eyes. For those new to the improv world, there’s no time like the present to find out what it’s all about. And who couldn’t use a scenic drive down to P-town?
