GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — Two Illinois men arrested last September for allegedly killing a bull elk illegally have entered guilty pleas through their attorney.

Fifty-four-year-old Kimberly Anthony Shrout and his son, 20-year-old Anthony Lee Eugene Shrout, pleaded guilty to several charges, including aggravated illegal possession of wildlife.

A Jefferson County judge ordered Kimberly Shrout to pay $12,000 in fish and game fines, while Anthony Shrout was ordered to pay $11,050.

The Shrouts, both of Rockport, Ill., were also barred from hunting in Colorado.
Two other men arrested in the same case, 23-year-old John Keith Johnson and 26-year-old Larry C. Losch of Idaho Springs, are scheduled to stand trial next month.
