Frigid tradition: Colorado paddlers celebrate New Year’s Day 2025 on the river

The paddlers said while the air was cold, there weren’t many ice impediments on the river this year for the annual New Year’s Day float down the Shoshone Rapids section of the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon.
