Redstone’s Annual Grand Illumination
What: After Thanksgiving, the Redstone’s Annual Grand Illumination will kick off the holiday season. Santa will begin the night’s festivities at Propaganda Pie, then follow him down the Boulevard as he lights the tree by the Park and continues to the Redstone Inn’s lower parking lot to warm up by the bonfire. The Redstone Inn will be transformed into Santa’s workshop complete with Santa, Mrs. Claus and his elves. Santa will be in his workshop located in the fitness center by the pool at the Redstone Inn to visit with kids and hear their Christmas wishes.
When: 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30

- Propaganda Pie, 467 Redstone Blvd., Redstone, from 5-5:15 p.m.
- Redstone Trading Station, 386 Redstone Blvd., from 5:20-5:30 p.m.
- Redstone General Store, 292 Redstone Blvd., from 5:35-5:50 p.m.
- Bonfire is lit in the lower parking lot of the Redstone Inn, 82 Redstone Castle Drive, Redstone, at 5:55 p.m.
- Santa’s workshop will be open behind the Inn from 6:15 – 7:30 p.m.

Santa Visits at Winter on the Mountain
What: Visit Santa at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park during this season’s Winter on the Mountain. Festive decorations include twinkling lights, a musical Christmas tree and Santa’s workshop. Enjoy a warm holiday drink, roast marshmallows and enjoy the festive cheer at the nation’s only mountain top amusement park.

When: 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, Dec. 7

Vaudeville Holiday Show
What: One of the Vaudeville’s most popular events of the year, perfect for family gatherings, work parties, or even your ugly sweater party. The Vaudeville Revue’s Holiday Show is a two-hour family fun show with professional talent performing a variety of holiday themed skits, jokes, high energy dance numbers and unique songs that are guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit.

Winterfaire Store Shopping Evening
What: Head to the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork for an adults-only festive shopping experience with music, food and local vendors selling unique, handmade gifts. A portion of all proceeds supports the Waldorf School, which is a nonprofit organization committed to inspiring and educating children using artistry.

26th Annual Cup Auction
What: The annual cup auction brings 250 unique, artisan cups from around the nation to Carbondale. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Carbondale Clay Center, helping the organization continue its artist residency program, ceramic classes, kids programming and community outreach.

December First Friday – Light Up Carbondale
What: Light up the Forest Service tree and Main Street lights with Santa during the December First Friday. Enjoy free hot cocoa provided by the Town of Carbondale and sugar cookies courtesy of Alpine Bank. Stop by the Launchpad for the Deck the Walls holiday market in the Carbondale Arts Gallery and wrap up the evening with free sleigh rides with Santa and live performances by the Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra.

Holiday Bazaar
What: Head to the Glenwood Springs Community Center for the fourth annual Holiday Bazaar. Visitors can browse goods from over 40 local makers, creators and artists while enjoying food from food trucks, sweet treats and warm beverages. Bring the kids — a Little Elves Workshop provides holiday crafts while parents shop.

Winterfaire
What: Head to the Waldorf School campus for the 33rd Winterfaire, a family-friendly day of festive fun. Activities include family crafts, holiday shopping, food, a sweet shop, music, stories and a walnut boat float. The festival is open to all and fundraises for the Waldorf School, a local nonprofit dedicated to educational excellence.

Skate with Santa
What: Skate, participate in sled pull racing, ride the Zamboni, make cookies and get your face painted at Skate with Santa. Proceeds from the event help Colorado Extreme’s Pee-Wee Hockey Team travel and compete in Quebec. All ages and levels of skating experience are welcome.

When: 12-4 p.m., Dec. 7
How much: Admission is by donation. Rentals, food and activities range from $0 to $20.
Redstone Holiday Market
What: Enjoy Redstone Art Foundation’s fifth annual Redstone Holiday Market. Browse unique gifts and holiday decorations from local artists at the European-style outdoor market. Visit with Santa, listen to carolers and enjoy hot chocolate while strolling down Redstone Boulevard.

Old Thompson Barn Holiday Market
What: Head to the Old Thompson Barn for a festive shopping experience featuring gifts and treats from over 35 local vendors, including the Storm Cellar Winery, Aspen Clean Candle, Mariposa Hats, PAWSitivity Prints, Aspen Soap Company, Old Soul Home Creation, High Mountain Medicinals, True Nature Healing Arts and more.
