At the Garfield County Libraries this week, there is a new book club in Carbondale on Thursday for kids, who will receive a free copy of “Weirdo” by Tony Weaver Jr. and there will be pizza from Peppino’s. Children aged 9-12 are encouraged to sign up. 

On Saturday, Rifle Library is accepting donations for emergency kits for families in need and putting together the kits will take place at a future date.

Also on Saturday is Hometown Holiday for Rifle, with multiple businesses participating and places to go, but at the Library, enjoy hot cocoa, Christmas crafting and a special visit from Santa’s reindeer – hopefully Rudolph will be spotted.
