Irene Huck-Staats passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 20, 2024. She was an expert quilter, cross-stitcher, and her pies were unsurpassed. She had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. She lived at Crystal Meadows from 2009 until March of this year, when she moved to Sopris Lodge in Carbondale. She was a beautiful lady and said her rosary every day and was devoted to her Catholic Faith. She will be missed by the family she leaves behind, Joyce Huck, daughter-in-law, sons, Michael (Jan) Huck, Allen (Judy) Huck, and daughter Anna Maria (Mark) Whalen, along with 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Her services will be Sat. September 28 at St Mary of the Crown in Carbondale with Rosary at 9:30, Mass 10:00 and reception at 11. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Care and Hospice of the Valley, 823 Grand Avenue Suite 300 Glenwood Springs, Co: Carbondale Senior Housing Corp. 1250 Hendrick Dr, Carbondale, Co, or St Mary of the Crown Altar & Rosary
