Obituary: Jason James (Jim) Jowell
August 18, 1937 – November 22, 2024
Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley. Joined the US Army 101st Airborne Division as a parachutist July 31, 1958, where he served three years. Married September 7, 1963, Esther Jane Herwick (deceased August 19, 1997). They had two children. He started two successful plumbing businesses over the years. He loved life and his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, tennis, and various crafts. He always saw the silver lining. He is survived by daughter Tammie Jane Jowell, CO, Jason James Jowell II, CO, brother Steven Jowell, WA, three grandchildren, Kathy Chase, CO, Janie Jowell, HI, Payton Jowell, HI, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
