Sunlight Mountain Resort opens early, offers skiers and snowboarders a taste of winter
Skiers and snowboarders got a taste of winter this past weekend as Sunlight Mountain Resort opened for Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, two weeks ahead of schedule. The resort plans to close during the week, reopen Dec. 6-8, and then officially launch the 2024-25 season on Dec. 13.
“This early opening is a testament to the magic of Mother Nature and the dedication of our team,” said Travis Baptiste, Director of Business Development at Sunlight Mountain Resort. “Our Mountain Ops crew has worked around the clock to prepare the mountain, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this good news with our community.”
The early opening was made possible by significant snowfall and efforts from the resort’s Mountain Operations team. Guests enjoyed freshly groomed trails and clear skies during the opening weekend.
